CMC Inc. is seeking a full-time Estimator to provide detailed project cost analysis to ensure accurate proposals, successful, and profitable jobs. The ideal candidate will work in an organized and consistent manner utilizing technology including digital take-offs, to streamline projects of all sizes, from multiple smaller jobs to larger projects of up to $5M. The ability to organize information, communicate effectively and provide an accurate product is essential to the role. At CMC, Estimators work collaboratively and at the appropriate time hand off jobs to project managers. The Estimator will enjoy a supportive and empowering work environment with CMC’s long-tenured team. Additionally, this position will strengthen the CMC brand and build trust with existing and future clients.

Position Qualifications:

  • Mechanical construction experience, preferred; specifically, a working knowledge of HVAC and/or plumbing from time in the field or in estimating projects
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to successfully hand off jobs to project managers when necessary, is essential
  • Ability to effectively estimate multiple projects at the same time is a must
  • Proficiency with technology is required; ability to perform digital take-offs, a plus
  • Understanding of the design-build and plan/spec processes, including subcontractor and supplier relationships is desired
